Our education partner - University of Lincoln
An award-winning University with an international reputation for its quality of teaching and research has become Yorkshire Energy Park’s principal education partner.
The University of Lincoln, which has been named as the Modern University of the Year in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021, will establish a campus on site and aim to up-skill and re-skill those who use the base, retaining and bolstering talent and skills in key industries within the Humber region.
It will provide an innovative research and development offer, marrying the industries housed on the park with an on-site education campus, with onsite vocational training and higher education facilities to develop the next generation of the workforce in key industries for its occupiers.
It will target a minimum of 80% employment from the local area through the construction phase, creating long term career prospects for people locally.
Researchers at the University of Lincoln are developing innovative solutions to the challenge of sustainability, with research in key areas including climate science, clean energy, energy usage and sustainable supply chains, which is in line with some of Yorkshire Energy Park’s key objectives.
The university has a strong track record of working closely with employers to provide targeted, academic and practice-based courses, developing bespoke programmes which target organisations’ skills gaps and development requirements.
